The Film
Four generations, one question: how do you live together after the unspeakable?
KUBANA means “living together” in Kinyarwanda. Thirty years after the genocide perpetrated against the Tutsi, the film asks Rwanda the question of coexistence - through a historian born in 1933, researchers and artists, women whose bodies haven’t forgotten, and a former perpetrator of the genocide speaking to his son for the first time.
